The Enigma T0060 is a table lamp built from a single bent metal arc rising out of a round, flat base. A flat horizontal disc sits at the top of the arc, and an opal glass globe hangs beneath it. The metal parts are painted red in shade RAL 3016; the globe stays white.
How much surface it needs
The manufacturer gives a height of 45 cm and a length of 39 cm. The second figure matters more than usual here: the arc pushes the globe well beyond the footprint of the base, so the lamp needs a strip of surface close to 40 cm deep, not just the area under the round foot.
At 45 cm tall the glass globe sits roughly at eye level for someone seated at a 75 cm table. The globe is open at the bottom and at the side, so the lamp works better placed off to one side of the surface than directly opposite a seat.
The light it gives
Light comes from an integrated LED module drawing 2 W and delivering 176 lumens at 3000 K, a warm white with a slightly yellow cast. For comparison, an old 60 W incandescent bulb gave about 800 lm, so the Enigma T0060 will not light a room and will not stand in for a reading lamp; it is a single point of light placed for the accent itself.
The LED module is built in permanently and cannot be replaced. No bulb has to be bought, but it also cannot be swapped for a different colour temperature or brightness. The LED driver is included; the manufacturer made no provision for dimming, so a dimmer cannot be connected.
Build and the rooms it is meant for
Arc, base and disc are metal, the shade is glass. One colour covers every metal part, so the lamp reads as one continuous shape with no visible joints; the cable leaves the side of the base and is white, which stays visible against the red body.
The manufacturer intends this model for the living room, bedroom, dining room and office, and describes the style as modern: a smooth tube, no ornament, one colour. The Enigma series offers the same shape in black, gold and green.
