Moonstone T0055 by Max Light is a table lamp with a broad, rounded smoked-glass shade and a cylindrical white-marble base. Allow room for the shade

The lamp stands 45 cm high, and its shade is also 45 cm in diameter. The manufacturer's drawing shows a base measuring 15 cm across and 15 cm high, with a shade height of 30 cm. When choosing a surface, consider the full outline of the glass rather than the smaller base alone. The shade can project beyond the edge of a narrow console. On a bedside cabinet, check whether the 45 cm diameter leaves space for the other objects you want within reach.

Choose the E27 bulb separately

A single E27 holder takes a bulb rated at no more than 7 W. The bulb is not included. The decorative filament bulb shown in the photograph illustrates the appearance of the lamp; it does not establish what comes in the box. Because the light source is visible through the smoked glass, its shape contributes to the appearance even when switched off. Light colour and output depend on the bulb you select. The manufacturer specifies that the fitting is not intended for connection to a dimmer.

A decorative supplementary light

Moonstone can sit on a living-room chest, a bedroom cabinet or a sideboard in a dining room. In a study it provides supplementary illumination, rather than the directed light of an adjustable task lamp.
