The Maytoni Decart MIR010WL-L12W4K is a slim LED bar for lighting paintings, prints and mirrors. A wall-mounted arm holds the 52 cm profile out over the surface it is meant to light, and the built-in 12 W module delivers 800 lm of neutral 4000 K white. This white version belongs to the Decart series in Maytoni's Mirror collection.
How it lights
4000 K is the compromise that works best for display lighting: it neither warms the white of a canvas or mount artificially nor drops into a cold, office-like tone. The 120 degree spread means a wide, soft pool with no hard edge, so the light spans the full width of a picture instead of leaving a bright spot in the middle. A colour rendering index of 80 Ra is enough to read the colour relationships in a print or photograph.

Build
Housing and arm are metal; the light bar is closed with a durable plastic diffuser that blends the individual LEDs into one continuous line. The matt white finish disappears against a pale wall and keeps attention on whatever is being lit. Maytoni gives the dimensions as 520 x 220 x 55 mm and a 15 cm connecting lead, intended for a junction box behind the fitting.

- Lead length: 15 cm
- Net weight 0.73 kg, gross weight 1.12 kg
Supply and safety
The driver runs across a wide AC 85-265 V range, so the fitting shrugs off mains fluctuation. Protection class I means an earth conductor must be connected. IP20 restricts it to dry rooms, worth remembering if the bar is destined for a bathroom mirror: only a position clear of splashing water is permissible.
- Voltage: AC 85-265 V
- Protection class: I
- Ingress protection: IP20
- Energy efficiency class: F, 12 kWh per 1000 hours
- Manufacturer warranty: 5 years
Where to fit it
A 52 cm bar suits pictures roughly 50 to 80 cm wide; for anything larger, two units side by side beat hoping one will cover the whole frame evenly. Beyond a gallery wall in a living room, it works over a dressing-room or hallway mirror, above a bookshelf, and in a hotel reception or restaurant, lighting a menu board or a piece of wall art. The Decart series also includes a black version, article MIR010WL-L12B4K, if white would contrast too sharply with the frame.
