NORLYS Asker MD1530GR Graphite LED Outdoor Wall Light, 4000 K, with Motion Sensor

NORLYS Asker MD1530GR is a graphite outdoor wall light with an integrated LED module and a microwave motion sensor. Its rectangular cast-aluminium body has a powder-coated RAL 7016 finish. Light is directed both upwards and downwards, making this a fitting for illuminating walls and façades rather than a floodlight for distant parts of a garden.

Planning the light on the wall

The 4000 K neutral-white light can be coordinated with other fittings of the same colour temperature. The complete luminaire delivers 328 lm while consuming 9.4 W; this is the output of the fitting, not the higher figure for the LED module alone. When positioning it near an entrance or on a terrace or balcony wall, consider both directions of light and the wall surface that will receive it.

Set the sensor after installation

The MD version has a microwave motion sensor with a twilight function and hold time. Factory settings are a 100% detection area and a five-second hold time, with the twilight threshold disabled. These settings need to be adjusted to the installation site. Simply fitting the light therefore does not mean it will respond only after dark.

Size and electrical connection

The body measures 22.5 × 11 × 8.5 cm. Compare these dimensions with the available wall space before choosing a position, particularly alongside doors and façade details. Mounting uses 4.5 mm holes on 180 × 60 mm centres. The supply is 220–240 V AC, and protection class I requires a protective-earth connection in accordance with the installation instructions.

A restrained body with serviceable LEDs

The undecorated graphite housing suits modern, minimalist and Scandinavian architecture. Its cover is clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate, with a silicone seal and an EPDM cable gland. The IP65 rating indicates protection against dust and water jets. There is no separate bulb to buy: the LED module is integrated, and the manufacturer specifies professional servicing for replacement of the light source and control gear. Other mounting accessories are purchased separately.
