Bollard Light NORLYS Asker Pro 1314GR graphite LED 7.7 W 3000 K 85 cm

The Asker Pro 1314GR is an 85 cm bollard light shaped like an inverted L: a vertical shaft of cast aluminium ends in a horizontal arm that projects 20 cm and shines downwards. The body is powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016, and a clear PMMA lens sits on the underside of the arm.

How the light is spread

In the Pro version the LED module works behind a Ledil SCL lens with an IESNA type II/III distribution. That distribution is stretched along the path, so a bollard at the edge of a walkway lights a stretch of it, not just a circle around its base. ULOR is 1 %, meaning practically all the light goes down and not into the sky, which matters wherever the site owner limits light pollution.

The 5.8 W Cree module produces 828 lm, and the complete luminaire delivers 697 lm at 7.7 W. 3000 K is a warm white. The bollard can be dimmed, but only with a trailing-edge (TE) phase dimmer.

Mounting and connection

The luminaire is fixed through four ø8 mm holes at a spacing of 18 × 50 mm. The anchors and adapters for the foundation are not included; Norlys sells them separately, so the foundation type is chosen together with the light. The terminals accept conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², further bollards can be looped through with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², and the gland seals a round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter.

This is a protection class I luminaire, so the circuit needs a protective earth conductor, and the connection is made by a qualified electrician.

Durability and service

IP65 means the light is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it is made to run outdoors without a cover. Impact resistance is IK08 and the operating temperature range is −20 to +45 °C. The manufacturer states an L90 lifetime of over 109,000 h: after that the module still gives at least 90 % of its initial flux. The light source is integrated; the LED module and driver are replaced only by a professional service.

Where it belongs

Norlys intends the Asker Pro for gardens and other private grounds. The bollard suits garden paths, terraces and driveways, hotel and restaurant grounds, parks and access roads. The plain geometric form without ornament fits a modern and modernist style.
