The Asker Pole Pro 5165GR is a garden lamp built as an integrated pole 236 cm tall: a one-piece extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016, turns at the top into a horizontal arm carrying the LED head 39 cm out from the pole. The profile is 11 cm wide, and light leaves the underside of the arm through a sealed clear PMMA lens.
How the light is spread
The Ledil VSM lens gives an IESNA type V distribution, a symmetrical circle of light around the pole, so it lights an area around itself evenly rather than a strip in front of it. For paths Norlys offers type III versions in the same range (5167, 5169). A BUG rating of B1-U1-G1 and an ULOR of 1% mean that only a negligible share of the light goes upwards.
The Philips Fortimo FastFlex LED module shines at 4000 K, a neutral white, with a colour rendering index of Ra 70. The fitting draws 8.5 W and delivers 1140 lm.
Control and servicing
The driver runs on DALI-2 with a NightDim profile and leaves the factory set to maximum current, so without a controller the lamp runs at full output; dimming needs a DALI installation. Versions with phase dimming, an HF or PIR motion sensor or surge protection are made to order by Norlys. The LED module and driver are replaced by a professional service using the ZS5165 service kit.
Installation and wiring
The pole stands on a base plate with four ø12 mm holes on a 200 × 200 mm pattern; the 117GA ground anchor is sold separately. Its side area is 0.258 m², the figure that sets the wind load when the foundation is chosen,, and the lamp weighs 11 kg. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm² and allow the next fitting to be fed through (up to 5 × 2.5 mm²), so several poles in a row can run from one supply line; the glands take cables of 4–8, 8–12 or 10–13.6 mm. It is a protection class I luminaire that needs the protective earth, rated IP65 and IK08, and Norlys requires a qualified installer.
Norlys designs it for private grounds, parks and other architectural settings; our catalogue lists it for gardens, parks, hotels and restaurants.
