Norlys Basel 661GA — hot-dip galvanised outdoor wall light, E27

Norlys Basel 661GA is an outdoor wall light with a hot-dip galvanised steel front and satin-finish glass. Two metal bands cross its rectangular backplate, giving the fitting a recognisable classic design. A replaceable E27 LED lamp lets you choose the light for a façade or a seating area on the terrace.

Galvanised metal and the space it needs

The fitting measures 31 cm high and 21 cm wide, with a 13 cm projection from the wall. Compare that outline with the width of a pillar or the wall beside a doorway before deciding where to position it. The projection also needs to be allowed for when checking passage space along a narrower terrace.

GA identifies a hot-dip galvanised finish. The steel front is paired with a powder-coated cast aluminium base. Satin-finish safety glass covers the lamp, making the diffuser a visible part of the design both when the light is on and when it is off.

Choose the light through an E27 LED lamp

The socket takes an A55–A60 E27 LED lamp rated at no more than 9 W. That figure is the permitted lamp rating; actual power consumption depends on the lamp selected. You can therefore choose its colour temperature and output to suit evenings on the terrace or the lighting of the façade.

The satin glass diffuses the light and forms a luminous surface between the metal parts. When several fittings are installed along a wall, lamps with the same light colour help create a consistent appearance. The classic arrangement of the backplate and two bands remains part of the design regardless of the chosen lamp colour.

Connection and later lamp changes

Basel operates on 220–240 V and requires protective earth because it is a Class I fitting. IP54 means dust protection and protection against splashing water for outdoor use. The E27 light source is user-replaceable, so a later change of brightness or colour temperature is made by choosing another compatible LED lamp.
