The Bologna 312BG is a low Norlys post light, 43.5 cm tall, with a clear PMMA globe 25 cm in diameter. The globe sits in an open cradle on a shaped stem with a square foot. The body is painted cast aluminium in a green patina finish — a dark grey-green base with lighter, greenish highlights along the edges.
Where to place it and how to mount it
The foot is screwed down through two ø5.5 mm holes 90 mm apart. Norlys intends it for mounting on the ground, a low wall, a pedestal or another structure, and offers the 307ZX0009 concrete anchor, sold separately, for setting it into the ground. Compare the 43.5 cm height with the wall beside your steps or the border of the bed where it will stand.
The terminals take 2 × 2.5 mm² cable, also when several fittings are looped together, and the gland suits round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. The fitting is protection class II, so it needs no protective earth. It weighs 1.65 kg.
Which light source and what light
Inside is an E27 lampholder for an A55–A60 shaped LED bulb of up to 9 W. The bulb is not included, and replacing it needs no service visit. The bulb shows through the clear globe, so its shape and colour shape the look of the fitting in daylight too. Norlys names a dimmable Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K as a suitable bulb — roughly the brightness of an old 60 W bulb and a warm, slightly yellow light.
Working outdoors
IP54 means protection against dust and splashing water from any direction, and the manufacturer gives an operating range of −20 to +45°C. A silicone gasket seals the globe; if it gets damaged, it can be ordered as service kit 06360008. Norlys describes the fitting as classic and intends it for lighting gardens and terraces.
