NORLYS Egersund 1280GR is a cylindrical bollard light 20 cm in diameter and 108 cm high. The body is cast aluminium, powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016, and the top section is a clear PMMA shade in which a conical reflector is visible under the flat cap.
What light it gives
The light is rotationally symmetrical, spreading evenly all around the bollard, and the reflector directs it downwards and sideways, so only 9% of the flux goes upwards (ULOR). The 18 W LED module produces 2617 lm, and 1681 lm leaves the luminaire at a power draw of 20.3 W, which is general lighting level rather than a mere path marker. 3000 K is a warm white, and CRI 80 renders colours correctly.
The fitting can be phase-dimmed with either a trailing-edge (TE) or a leading-edge (LE) dimmer, so it works with both types of phase dimmer.
Mounting and connection
The bollard is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set at 120° on a ø65 mm circle. Fixings are bought separately: Norlys offers the ground anchor 1231GA, the concreting anchor 1230ZX and the mounting adapter 3087GA. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 4 mm² and allow the supply to be looped on to the next bollard, and the gland takes a round cable 8–17 mm in diameter, so a row of bollards along a path can run from a single line. The bollard weighs 11.47 kg.
It is a protection class II luminaire and needs no earth conductor. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 means the housing withstands an impact of 5 J.
Service and intended use
The LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service, and Norlys offers the service kit ZS1280zx0014 for them. The module keeps at least 80% of its luminous flux for more than 102,000 hours (L80). Norlys intends the bollard for gardens, private grounds and public areas; it suits driveways, terraces, streets and the grounds of hotels and restaurants. The smooth cylinder with its contemporary form matches modern architecture.
