The Firenze 810BL is a classic garden lantern: a bell-shaped luminaire with a clear shade hangs from a curved arm at the top of a telescopic pole. Its height adjusts from 193 to 256 cm. The luminaire is cast aluminium, powder-coated black (RAL 9005).
What is in the box and what to buy
The set consists of the luminaire (art. 8012), a reducer (art. 3040) and the telescopic pole (art. 3010). No bulb is included: the fitting has an E27 socket and takes an LED lamp of up to 9 W in an A55–A60 shape – a wider decorative globe will not fit under the shade. The maker recommends the Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K, the brightness of an old 60 W bulb in warm light, and also offers the lantern with that lamp.
The pole's fixing has to be chosen separately: a concrete foundation (7668ZX0009), an anchor to set in concrete (305ZX0009), a ground anchor (306ZX0009) or the adapters 108GA0309 and 6010GA0010.
Mounting and wiring
The pole base has three ø10.5 mm holes set at 120° on a ø240 mm circle. The terminals take conductors up to 4 × 2.5 mm² and let the supply loop on to the next fitting, and the round-sheathed cable can be 6 to 12.5 mm in diameter – so several lanterns along a path run on one circuit. The fitting is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor.
How it lights and copes with weather
The shade is clear UV-stabilised polycarbonate, meaning it resists sunlight, and the bulb is visible through it. 18% of the flux (ULOR) goes upwards, above the luminaire, and the rest falls on the path around the pole. IP54 means protection against dust and splashing water from any direction. If the shade is damaged, Norlys lists service kit 06370797.
The ornamental curved arm and bell shade are a classic form, intended for gardens, parks and the surroundings of hotels or restaurants. The model is made in two colours: black and white.
