Norlys Frigga 2155CB LED bollard light, 85 cm, copper brown RAL 8004, 2700 K, DALI2

Frigga 2155CB is an 85 cm bollard light with a square, ribbed 14 × 14 cm aluminium profile, powder-coated in copper brown RAL 8004. It is topped with a cube of crystal glass, satin-finished on the inside, which houses an integrated LED module at 2700 K.

Where it stands and how it is fixed

At 85 cm tall on a 14 × 14 cm footprint, the bollard marks the edge of a path, driveway or terrace. Its IP65 rating lets it stand in the rain without any cover.

The bollard weighs 8.3 kg and is bolted down through three ø9 mm holes set 120° apart on a ø65 mm circle. Norlys sells the concreting anchor (205), ground anchor (206), concrete-foundation adapter (206S) and mounting adapter (3080GA) separately, so the fixing method has to be chosen and ordered together with the luminaire.

How much light it gives and how it is controlled

The luminaire draws 4.8 W and delivers 304 lm at 2700 K, a very warm, yellowish white, with CRI 80. That is orientation lighting: the bollard traces the line of a path and lights the ground around itself. The glass cube is open on every side and 85% of the flux leaves above the horizontal (ULOR), so the luminaire reads mainly as a visible point of light.

Control is via DALI2: brightness is set over the DALI bus, which needs a DALI controller or gateway in the installation — an ordinary phase-cut dimmer will not work with this luminaire. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and allow the next bollard to be looped through, and the round cable may not exceed ø12.5 mm. According to the manufacturer, one B16A circuit breaker can supply up to 74 of these luminaires, and a B10A up to 46.

Build and servicing

The body is an extruded, powder-coated aluminium profile and the cable gland is EPDM. The manufacturer notes that the crystal glass of the diffuser may take on an amber tint over time. Impact resistance is IK06, and protection class I means the luminaire is connected with a protective earth conductor.

The Philips Fortimo LED module is rated for more than 50,000 h (L70) and the driver for 100,000 h. Both the light source and the control gear are replaced by a professional service, and installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
