NORLYS Paris Big 1496GA outdoor LED wall light – hot-dip galvanised, 3000 K

NORLYS Paris Big 1496GA is an outdoor wall light with a hot-dip galvanised steel body. Its half-round cover sits above a satin polycarbonate diffuser, with light directed downwards. The GA variant has a metallic zinc finish rather than the black or white finish available elsewhere in the range.

Check the space beside your entrance

The fitting measures 28 cm across, 14 cm high and projects 16 cm from the wall. Compare those measurements with the available masonry and the clearance needed for opening doors before deciding on its position. Paris Big mounts on a vertical surface; it is not a freestanding garden bollard.

Its diffuse downward distribution suits an entrance area, a facade, a terrace wall or a fence pillar. The useful light falls below the body rather than forming matching upward and downward beams. For a longer wall, the number and spacing of fittings should follow the area you need to illuminate.

Warm LED light with phase-cut control

The integrated LED module produces warm white light at 3000 K. The complete luminaire delivers 585 lm while drawing 5.9 W. The separate 799 lm figure refers to the source before losses within the fitting, not its delivered output. There is no screw-in bulb to choose.

Brightness can be controlled using trailing-edge phase-cut dimming. Choose a dimmer compatible with the fitted driver rather than assuming any control marked LED will work. Both the LED module and control gear are replaceable by a professional service; this is not a user-replaceable household bulb.

Metal finish and installation requirements

The plain curved body has no decorative ornament, supporting Scandinavian, minimalist and industrial schemes. The satin diffuser is UV-stabilised and sits beneath the steel cover, so the metal remains the principal visible element when the light is off.

The fitting is rated IP43 and is Class I, requiring a protective earth connection. Two oval mounting holes are 5.5 mm in diameter, spaced 100 mm apart. A qualified installer should connect it to the 220–240 V supply and follow the mounting instructions, including the specified cable passage through the seal.
