Norlys RENA 1771BL square drive-over in-ground light, black, LED 4.2 W 4000 K IP68

Rena 1771BL is a square NORLYS drive-over light set into paving, finished in black RAL 9005. At the surface you see a 13 × 13 cm plate with a round cover in which four side slots let the light out sideways, while the source is shielded from above. The body is powder-coated cast aluminium and the diffuser is satin, UV-stabilised polycarbonate.

Where it can go

Vehicles on pneumatic tyres can drive over the light, and its maximum load is 1000 kg, so it suits a driveway, a path or paved surfaces in a garden. Norlys rules out traffic lanes where the fitting would take horizontal forces from hard braking, acceleration and turning. IP68 means it withstands immersion in water to a depth of 1 m, and IK09 rates its impact resistance.

The body is 18.2 cm deep and is set into the ground following the instructions. The light comes with a 1 m H05BQ-F 3G1 cable ending in a THB.391.R4A.L connector; the junction boxes (145ZX0009, 146ZX0009) and other accessories are sold separately. Protection class I means a protective earth connection is required.

What light it gives

The LED module produces 488 lm, but 20 lm leaves the fitting through the side slots. This is orientation light: it marks the edge of a driveway or path and brightens the surface right next to the fitting rather than lighting the whole area. At 4000 K the light is a neutral white.

The light can be dimmed with a phase dimmer and works with both trailing-edge (TE) and leading-edge (LE) dimmers.
