Nowodvorski NOOK outdoor ceiling light, black, E27, IP44, 7978 Promo Code 🚀- NOVO15 until the end of Oct 25

The Nowodvorski NOOK 7978 is an outdoor ceiling light with a round black ABS body and a transparent PC shade. The catalogue card gives a diameter of 18 cm and a height of 15.5 cm. It is mounted directly to the ceiling, so the lower edge of the shade sits 15.5 cm below the ceiling plane once installed.

Projection and what arrives

The 18 cm diameter is the circle the fitting occupies on the ceiling. The 15.5 cm height is the projection to compare with headroom under that ceiling and with a door swing if the light will sit near a frame.

The carton measures 18.5 × 18.5 × 16 cm. Inside are the fitting, an instruction and a mounting instruction. Net weight is 0.34 kg and gross weight is 0.45 kg. No light source is included.

The lamp you have to buy

There is one replaceable E27 lampholder. The card limits the source to LED and states a maximum of 1 × 10 W. A more powerful lamp, or one that is not LED, falls outside that limit. Colour and output depend on the lamp you choose: the card gives neither a colour temperature nor a lumen figure for the fitting itself. The bulb shown in the photograph only indicates the scale of the shade and is not part of the delivery.

Supply is 220–230 V at 50/60 Hz, protection class II. Class II means double insulation, so the fitting does not require a protective-earth conductor. The card also records built-in protection against theft of the E27 lamp.

Where IP44 and IK09 change the decision

The manufacturer marks the intended use as outdoor. IP44 protects against water splashes and against solid objects larger than 1 mm. It is not a rating for immersion or for continuous flooding. That matters on a covered terrace, in a gazebo and on a bathroom ceiling where splash protection is the requirement. The card does not establish use under water or beside a pool.

IK09 is the impact-resistance class corresponding to 10 J. It describes the mechanical strength of the housing, not a particular mounting place. The plain black canopy and unornamented transparent shade match the modern style named on the card. Code 7978 and EAN 5903139797894 identify this black variant, made in Poland.
