PIN LED M 8128 is a Nowodvorski picture light in the form of a slim black light bar, 91 cm long, set horizontally on a round wall bracket. It is made of lacquered aluminium with polycarbonate parts, and the light comes from a built-in LED module.

Dimensions and mounting

The bar is 91 cm long, the whole fitting is 6.5 cm high, and it projects 7 cm from the wall. Compare the length with the frame width of the picture or mirror it will hang above.

The bracket is screwed to the wall with two plugs and screws 43.5 mm apart, and the bar slots into it and is locked with an Allen key. The mounting kit is in the box. The light is hard-wired to the 230 V supply with live and neutral — it is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor. The manufacturer reserves the connection for a qualified electrician.

What light it gives

The integrated LED module draws 10 W and gives 500 lm, roughly as much as an old 40 W bulb — enough to light a picture, not to light the whole room. 4000 K is neutral white, and a CRI of ≥80 renders colours correctly for everyday use. The 120° beam spreads the light widely over the surface below the bar.

The light source is included and is not user-replaceable — the manufacturer provides for replacement by a service only. The module's rated life is 30,000 hours, and the light source is energy class D.

Where it works

IP44 protects the fitting against splashing water, so the bar can also hang above a bathroom mirror. Besides pictures in a living room, bedroom, dining room or hallway, it suits artwork in a study, office, hotel or restaurant. The PIN LED series also includes a shorter S and a longer L version, and the form — a horizontal line with a single round accent — is modern and pared back.
