Ideal Lux Tronco AP1 Grigio 026978 is a grey outdoor wall light made from painted die-cast aluminium with a Pyrex glass cover. Its cylindrical light section has visible horizontal aluminium elements. A short arm separates it from the fixing against the wall.
Dimensions and space beside the wall
The fitting is 25 cm high, 11 cm wide and projects 18 cm from the wall. Compare its height and width with the free area of facade, and its depth with the space in front of the fitting. The 18 cm projection is particularly relevant where a passage runs beside the light.
The grey finish belongs to the aluminium body. The horizontal cover elements and installed bulb can be seen through the glass section. Repeated horizontal lines and a simple fixing create a modern, modernist and minimalist form without additional ornament.
Select a separate E27 bulb
The fitting has one E27 socket for a bulb rated at no more than 42 W, which must be purchased separately. A bulb is not included. The wattage limit defines the permitted light source; actual power consumption depends on your chosen bulb. That bulb also determines brightness and light colour.
The instructions show the bulb being screwed in and the glass cover being fitted. When choosing a source, allow for both the cap type and the space inside the cover. The manufacturer lists the fitting as non-dimmable, so plan ordinary on-and-off control.
Outdoor use and an earthed connection
Tronco is intended for outdoor wall installation. It can illuminate a facade or a balcony area and belongs to outdoor and garden lighting. IP44 provides protection against splashing water, which matters when choosing a position exposed to moisture.
The stated operating temperature range is -15 to +45 °C. Compare it with conditions at the planned location, particularly in winter. The fitting connects to 220–240 V AC and its Class I construction requires a protective earth conductor. Prepare a suitable connection before fastening the light to the wall.
