Outdoor Wall Light HITRA 5115GR 17.5W 4000K Graphite RAL 7016 Norlys

Hitra 5115GR is an outdoor wall light shaped as a flat rectangular block of cast aluminium, powder-coated in graphite (RAL 7016). A round cover of clear safety glass sits on its underside, and light leaves only downwards – the maker states a ULOR of 0%, so the fitting sends no light into the sky or into windows above it.

Size and wall mounting

The luminaire is 15 cm wide and 6 cm tall and projects 20 cm from the wall. It fixes through two ø4 mm holes at 104 mm spacing; the maker notes that other mounting accessories are bought separately, and for fitting on a building corner there is a dedicated corner bracket, index 151XX0009.

The terminals take conductors up to 3×2.5 mm², and the fitting can be looped through with conductors up to 3×1.5 mm² – several lights on one facade then run from a single circuit without a separate junction box at each. The cable gland is sized for round-sheathed cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is a protection class I luminaire, so it must be connected to an earth conductor.

How much light, and what kind

The source is an integrated Philips Fortimo LED module rated 17.5 W. The luminaire delivers 1717 lm – main-lighting level, enough to light an entrance, a driveway or the stretch of wall below it. 4000 K is neutral white light with no yellow cast, and CRI 80 renders facade and plant colours correctly, though not as faithfully as an Ra 90 source.

The fitting is not dimmable. The LED module and driver can be replaced by a professional service – the maker lists service kit ZS5115zx0009 for this model, so a module failure does not mean replacing the whole light. Module lifetime is given as over 50,000 hours (L70).

Where it fits

IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets, so the light can hang on a facade with no canopy above it. Impact resistance IK06 corresponds to 1 J of impact energy. Hitra suits facades, garden walls and balconies, as well as the entrances of hotels and restaurants. The plain, unornamented graphite body fits modern and minimalist architecture. The Hitra family also includes 9.5 W versions and 3000 K variants.
