HITRA 5114GR is an outdoor wall light in the form of a flat, rectangular box that sends its light downwards only, through a round window of clear safety glass in the underside. The body is cast aluminium powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016, a dark anthracite grey.
Size and wall mounting
The fitting is 15 cm wide and 6 cm high, and it projects 20 cm from the wall. It weighs 1.41 kg and is screwed on through two ø4 mm holes 104 mm apart. The corner bracket 151XX0009, which lets you mount the light on the corner of a building, is sold separately.
The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the round-sheathed supply cable can be 7–10.5 mm in diameter. Further fittings can be looped on with conductors up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so a row of wall lights along a façade or a fence runs on one circuit. The fitting is protection class I and must be connected to a protective earth.
How much light it gives
The integrated Philips Fortimo LED module draws 9.5 W and produces 1150 lm, and 979 lm leave the fitting. That is a little more than an old 60 W bulb, enough above an entrance, on a balcony or by a gate. 4000 K is neutral white, under which the colours of the façade and planting look natural.
The light spreads in a downward hemisphere, and a ULOR of 0% means none of it goes above the fitting, into the sky or into windows higher up the façade. The light cannot be dimmed; it works on/off. The same housing also comes as HITRA 1330 at 3000 K and as the stronger HITRA 5115 (17.5 W).
Build and service
IP65 means the housing is dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the light can hang on an unsheltered wall. Impact resistance is IK06. The LED module is replaced by a professional service, and Norlys offers the repair kit ZS5114zx0009; the module is rated at over 50,000 h (L70), more than 45 years at three hours a day. The light suits a house façade, a fence and a balcony, as well as the entrance to a hotel or restaurant.
