Outdoor Wall Light Lillehammer DC1585CG Cement Grey NORLYS

The Lillehammer DC1585CG is a box-shaped outdoor wall light in cement grey (RAL 7033), made of powder-coated cast aluminium. Light leaves only through the glass window in its top face, so the fitting draws a narrow vertical stripe up the wall. This is the DC24V version: it runs from an external 24 V DC power supply, not directly from the 230 V mains.

What a 4° beam does

Norlys specifies a one-sided beam of 4° upwards and a ULOR of 100%, so all light goes above the fitting and none below it. It will not light a path or entrance steps; Norlys intends it for lighting walls and facades.

The Cree LED module draws 3.6 W and produces 532 lm, while the luminaire's output after the optic is 16 lm at a luminous intensity of 377 cd. With so narrow a beam the light is concentrated in a thin band, so the lumen figure alone does not show how pronounced the stripe will be. 3000 K is a warm white, and SDCM3 colour consistency means several fittings mounted side by side show practically the same tint.

24 V DC supply and dimming

The fitting needs an external voltage-stabilised 24 V DC power supply. It is not part of the fitting and must be planned into the installation. Protection class III means it operates on safety extra-low voltage. The LED module is suitable for dimming, controlled externally per the installation design, i.e. at the power supply.

The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², and further fittings can be looped through with cable up to 2 × 1.5 mm². The cable gland seals round cable from 7 to 10.5 mm in diameter.

Dimensions and mounting

Per the manufacturer's drawing the body is 18.5 cm high and 8 cm wide, and it projects 11 cm from the wall. It is fixed through two ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm apart. The instructions require it to be set plumb to within ±1°: with a 4° beam, any tilt shows on the wall as a slanted stripe.

Construction and servicing

The diffuser is optical safety glass seated on a silicone gasket. IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it suits an exposed facade, and IK08 means resistance to a 5-joule impact. The plain, unadorned box suits modern, minimalist architecture.

The LED module is not user-replaceable: Norlys specifies replacement by a professional service and offers service kit ZS1585xx0A09. Rated module life under TM-21 is over 52,600 h to 90% of initial flux (L90) and over 102,000 h to 80% (L80).
