Asker 1513GR is a NORLYS outdoor wall light shaped as a flat box, 22.5 cm wide, 11 cm high and 8.5 cm deep. The housing is cast aluminium, powder-coated in graphite RAL 7016. Clear, textured covers of UV-stabilised polycarbonate close the top and bottom faces, so the light shines upward and downward at the same time.
Which bulb and what light
The fitting has an E27 socket and takes an LED lamp in A55–A60 shape of up to 9 W. The bulb is not included, so colour temperature and brightness are your choice; the maker also offers a version with a Philips Master LEDbulb 806 lm / 8.5 W / 2700 K, warm light as bright as an old 60 W bulb. The user changes the lamp, with no service call. Light leaves through two faces, and the maker gives a ULOR of 50 % – half of the flux goes up and brightens the wall above the fitting, the other half falls downward.
The fitting has no driver of its own, so dimming depends on the bulb: with a dimmable E27 LED lamp, a dimmer that suits that lamp is all you need.
Mounting and wiring
The light weighs 1.16 kg and is screwed on through two ø5 mm holes on a 180 × 60 mm pattern. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the next fitting can be looped through with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights on one facade connect to one supply line. The cable gland seals round cable 7–10.5 mm in diameter. It is a protection class I luminaire, so the installation needs an earth conductor.
Durability and use
IP65 means a dust-tight housing protected against water jets from any direction, and IK08 an impact resistance that matters by walkways and gates. It operates at ambient temperatures from −20 to +45 °C. NORLYS intends it for lighting walls and facades; it suits a house front, a balcony, a garden wall and the garden, as well as entrances to hotels and restaurants. The smooth, sharp-edged body in graphite fits modern and minimalist architecture and stands out clearly against pale render.
