Asker Small Pro 5151AL is a box-shaped outdoor wall light, 22.5 cm wide, 11 cm high and 8.5 cm deep. The housing is cast aluminium, powder-coated light grey, RAL 9006. A clear, textured, UV-stabilised polycarbonate lens closes only the underside, so light leaves downwards only and the top stays dark.

How much light, and what kind

The Philips LED module draws 4 W and produces 681 lm; the complete luminaire draws 5.4 W and delivers 444 lm, or 82.2 lm/W. This is orientation light by an entrance: a diffuse downward half-sphere lights a band of wall and the ground below the fitting, not the whole yard. ULOR is 0 % and the BUG rating B0-U0-G0, so nothing shines into the sky or the neighbours' windows. 4000 K is neutral white with no yellow cast, CRI is 80, and SDCM3 keeps several fittings on one façade the same shade. The energy efficiency class is C.

The Philips Xitanium TE driver dims on a trailing-edge (RC) phase dimmer; a leading-edge dimmer made for incandescent lamps is not intended. The LED module and driver are replaced by a qualified service (service kit ZS5151zx0009). The manufacturer rates the LEDs at L80B20 above 72,000 h and L90B10 above 64,000 h, and the driver at 50,000 h.

Installation and wiring

The fitting weighs 1.34 kg, or 1.47 kg in its 24.5 × 12.5 × 10.5 cm box. It is screwed to the wall through two ø4.5 mm holes at 180 × 60 mm spacing. The terminals take conductors up to 3 × 2.5 mm², and the next fitting can be looped through with up to 3 × 1.5 mm², so several lights along a façade run on one line. The EPDM gland seals round cable of 7–10.5 mm diameter. The fitting is protection class I, so the installation needs an earth conductor.

Durability and where it fits

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, and IK08 means impact resistance up to 5 J. It operates from −20 to +45 °C. Norlys intends it for lighting walls, façades and other architectural schemes: on a house front, beside a door or balcony, on a garden wall, and at the entrance of a hotel or restaurant. The plain, angular form suits modern and modernist architecture.
