Silk P0371D is a pendant light made of six wavy strips of clear acrylic that resemble twisted ribbons of fabric. The elements hang on thin wires below a round chrome canopy, and LED light illuminates them from within and along their edges. The construction is stainless steel and acrylic.
Dimensions and arrangement
The lamp is 55 cm in diameter and up to 180 cm high. The height of each of the six elements is adjusted separately: set at one level they form a compact body, hung at different heights they make a loose cascade. Compare those 180 cm with your ceiling height: under a standard ceiling the lamp has to be shortened, while a room with a raised ceiling can use the full length.
The lamp is intended to hang over a table; compare its 55 cm diameter with the width of the tabletop below.
Light and control
The source is an integrated 15 W LED module delivering 1350 lm — enough for the lamp to be the main light over a table. The 3000 K colour temperature is warm white, and the Ra 90 colour rendering index keeps food and colours on the table looking natural. The LEDs are not replaced like a bulb, and the driver is included.
The lamp can be dimmed with a TRIAC phase dimmer, which is not included — it has to be bought separately and fitted in place of a standard switch. It runs on 230 V mains and is rated IP20, so it is for indoor use only.
Finish and series
The metal parts have a chrome finish, and the clear acrylic looks like glass when the light is off. The form is modern and irregular — the lamp works as a sculpture during the day too. The Silk series also includes a matching wall light for repeating the motif on a wall.
