A three-light Artis composition

Sigma Artis 3, code 40567, is a pendant light with a deliberately graphic silhouette. Its black lacquered frame leads from the round ceiling canopy to a central vertical stem and three spreading arms. Each arm ends in a half-dome gold shade made of lacquered steel. The contrast between the dark structure and the soft-looking gold finish gives the fitting a contemporary presence, while the staggered shades create a decorative rhythm above a table or an open-plan living area.

The dome-shaped shade is 18 cm across and rises to 8 cm. Its open underside sends light from the selected E14 bulb chiefly towards the surface below. The illuminated image shows the warm effect created inside the shades, but bulbs are not supplied; this leaves the choice of bulb appearance and colour of light to the interior scheme.

Proportions for a focal area

The frame spans 75 cm and reaches a maximum height of 80 cm. Height adjustment helps position the fitting in relation to the ceiling and tabletop. Three separate light points make it a considered option over a larger dining table, a kitchen island or a seating zone where a clear overhead focal point is wanted.
