Pomeroy is a Tiffany-style table lamp from the American brand Quoizel, distributed in Europe by Elstead Lighting. Its low pyramid shade is made of art glass in a soft yellow tone, divided by dark ribs. It does not sit on a stem but hangs from a curved arm rising out of a stepped rectangular base, so the shade appears to hover over the base. The steel body is finished in Western Bronze.
Size and space on the surface
The lamp is 54.8 cm high, 33 cm wide and 38.1 cm deep — deeper than it is wide, because the arm holds the shade out from the base. Compare that with the top of a chest of drawers, a bedside table or a desk: the shade reaches out over the surface, leaving free space beneath it in front of the base. It weighs 5.4 kg.
Bulb and power
The lamp takes one E27 bulb of up to 60 W and runs from a wall socket via a plug. No bulb is included — the manufacturer recommends, as a separately sold accessory, a clear A60 E27 LED lamp, 8 W at 3000 K, a warm white that brings out the yellow tone of the glass.
The manufacturer describes the lamp as compatible with dimmable smart lamps, so brightness is adjusted with a bulb controlled from an app or remote rather than with a dimmer in the lamp. It is protection class I and intended for indoor use.
Art glass
A Tiffany shade is built from many pieces of coloured glass, and the manufacturer notes that glass colour in these lamps varies and no two pieces are identical. The shade in the photos is therefore an example rather than a template — each lamp can show a slightly different pattern and depth of colour. When lit, the lamp glows through the glass with warm, diffused light while the bulb itself stays hidden in the shade.
