SHARM PLUS is a round, fixed recessed downlight with a white ribbed reflector and a thin copper-coloured ring around the rim. The LED module is built in and the driver is included, so the light connects to an ordinary 230 V circuit.
What hole and how much space above the ceiling
The visible part is 9 cm across and sits only 1.3 cm below the ceiling. It needs a round 7.5 cm hole and 9.5 cm of clear space above the board for the body with its black heat sink — the depth to compare with the void between your ceiling board and the slab. The light weighs 256 g.
Rendl's manual specifies installation by a qualified person. The fitting is protection class II, so it needs no earth conductor. The manufacturer recommends at least 20 cm between the light and the object it illuminates, and the LED module and driver may only be replaced by a professional.
What light it gives
The 10 W module produces 900 lm, roughly the output of an old 60 W bulb. At 3000 K the light is warm white. The 24° beam is narrow: it lights a clearly defined area under the fitting rather than spreading across the whole room, which is why lights like this are usually fitted in rows or above a specific spot that needs light. CRI 80 is the usual standard for home lighting.
The manufacturer states a service life of 30,000 hours, and the light source carries energy class G.
Where it fits
Rendl intends SHARM PLUS for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, hallways and corridors, staircases, garages and shops. The copper ring is the only colour accent against a white ceiling; the same series comes in other finishes, including white, black, chrome and pearl gold.
