Recessed Spotlight ONDARA Luces Exclusivas LE62536 white LED 3W 3000K

ONDARA LE62536 is a recessed ceiling spotlight in matt white. A wide perforated ring 6.8 cm across runs around the reflector — once it is filled and skimmed it disappears under the plaster, so all that remains in the ceiling is the opening with the recessed optic, with no visible trim. The body is aluminium.

How much room it needs above the ceiling

The fitting is 5 cm tall and all of that sits above the ceiling line. That is the figure to compare with the gap between the plasterboard and the structural ceiling — with less void than that, ONDARA will not go in.

The perforated ring is made to be plastered over, so the fitting goes in while the ceiling is still being finished rather than after it has been painted. For the same reason, taking it out later means breaking the ceiling surface around it.

The light it gives

The LED module draws 3 W and delivers 214 lm in a 36-degree beam. This is point light: it puts a defined circle on the floor or the wall instead of brightening the whole room. Several fittings in a row therefore work differently from one ceiling light — each one marks out its own patch.

3000 K is warm white, close to the light of a traditional bulb. Colour rendering above Ra 90 means colours look almost as they do in daylight, which matters wherever the shade has to be right: over a worktop, at a mirror, on a wall with pictures. The manufacturer also gives UGR below 17, a low glare figure — looking up towards the ceiling does not dazzle.

Light source, life and supply

The LED is permanently built in and comes with the fitting: there is no socket and no bulb to buy, but it cannot be swapped either. The manufacturer quotes 50,000 operating hours for the module — at three hours a day that is several decades, so the fitting is more likely to be ended by a ceiling refurbishment than by the diode wearing out. The warranty runs for five years.

It runs on standard 230 V. Thanks to the matt white finish and the absence of a trim, only the edge of the reflector shows once the fitting is in.
