Rendl ELECTRA II G53, code R12051, is a black trimless twin recessed luminaire with cardanic holders for two 12 V G53 lamps. Once built into the ceiling, a rectangular black plane remains, with two independently tiltable heads; the plaster frame is meant to disappear into the ceiling plane rather than leave a visible flange.
Size and the ceiling void
The manufacturer states a length of 32 cm and a cut-out of 33.3/17 cm with 18 cm recess depth. Those three figures must be checked against the ceiling: niche length, opening width, and free height above the board. Net weight 1.6 kg is for the fitting alone; two AR111 lamps and a separate transformer add further load.
The photographs show a rectangular housing with perforated plaster-frame brackets and ventilation slots in the body. This is not a spring-clip downlight for a thin board without a void — it needs a prepared opening and 18 cm of installation depth.
Lamps, supply, and what is not in the box
The fitting takes two replaceable 12 V LED lamps with a G53 base, typically AR111 size. Official power is 2×15 W, 15 W per holder. Lamps are not included, so colour, output and dimming follow the chosen bulbs. The transformer is sold separately and is required: without 12 V the luminaire stays dark. The driver must cover 30 W in total and the lamps’ own requirements.
The producer does not publish an IP rating, lumens or colour temperature for this code. Do not assume wet-zone or outdoor use on that basis.
Aiming the light
Each head has a cardanic bearing with a 30°/30° tilt. Two independent directions can light two objects, or one zone and an adjacent wall, instead of only firing straight down. At 15 W per point this remains accent and zone lighting, not a substitute for a long linear general-light run.
Look and rooms
Black rings in a black well give a quiet geometric pair after installation, without a decorative shade. The form is contemporary and spare, closer to a minimal built-in than to an ornamental ceiling lamp. It suits a living room, bedroom, dining room and kitchen, a hall, corridor and stair, as well as an office, study, hotel, restaurant, office building and shop — wherever two aimed points are needed in a dry ceiling void.
