Riven LED Pendant Light - Champagne Bronze Elstead

The Kichler Riven pendant is a slender vertical cylinder of clear fluted glass, banded at mid-height with a metal ring and finished with a small loop at the bottom. An acrylic diffuser runs inside the glass, and the fitting hangs from a rigid rod. The steel parts are finished in champagne bronze. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting.

Size and suspension

The cylinder is just 12.7 cm across and 38.9 cm tall, so the pendant takes up very little space — it looks good in a row of two or three over a worktop, or singly beside a bed instead of a bedside lamp. The overall height of 46.9 to 139.1 cm is set with the supplied rods (two of 15.2 cm and two of 30.5 cm). The fitting weighs 1.9 kg; it is Class I with earth conductor.

What light it gives

The integrated 14.6 W LED module gives about 835 lm — roughly an old 60 W bulb. 3000 K is warm white, and CRI 93 renders colours faithfully. No bulb is needed, and the LED module is not replaceable like an ordinary lamp. The diffuser spreads light in all directions, so the pendant glows like a small lantern with no harsh point.

It is dimmable with a dimmer suitable for LED fittings.

Where it fits

The manufacturer lists the living room and dining room; it also works over a kitchen worktop. Glass and warm metal in a plain cylindrical form make a modernist style. The series also includes a 122.2 cm linear island light.
