The Lutec DOBLO 6943701125 needs no connection to mains wiring. It draws its energy from a built-in 1.5 W monocrystalline panel that charges a 3.7 V Li-MnO2 battery of 1500 mAh during the day. That is the fundamental difference from an ordinary outdoor wall light: installation comes down to screwing the fitting up where the sun reaches it, with no chasing into the wall and no electrician.

Motion sensor and dusk-to-dawn

The fitting has a PIR sensor with a 120° detection angle and 10 m range, plus a dusk-to-dawn function — it recognises nightfall itself and switches on at sunset. Combining the two modes is deliberate: through the night it burns at a dimmed level and steps up to full output when motion is detected. That is what makes 1500 mAh last a whole night, which continuous operation at 12 W could not. An additional dim switch sets the standby brightness.

Light output

The LED module delivers 1000 lm at 4000 K — natural white — with CRI 80. That is enough to light a driveway, the path to a door or a terrace: this is genuine working light rather than a decorative accent. The opal polycarbonate cover diffuses the output, so no sharply cut pool forms on the wall.

Durability and construction

The body is aluminium in dark grey, measuring 15 × 9 × 17 cm and weighing 0.644 kg. IP44 means resistance to splashing water from any direction, and the −20 to +50 °C range covers the full year. The fitting is electrical class III — supplied at safety extra-low voltage from the battery, which is why no earthing is required. The manufacturer gives a 3-year warranty.
