CASENDA is a surface-mounted downlight shaped as a black aluminium cylinder, 9.6 cm across and 14 cm tall. It fixes to the ceiling without cutting an opening — the whole fitting stays on show, and its elongated form is part of the decor in its own right.

How it lights

The GU10 holder sits deep inside the cylinder, so the bulb is recessed within the body and light falls downward in a concentrated beam without glaring at you from the side. This is directional light — for a worktop, a picture, a shelf or a counter — rather than even illumination of a whole room.

Worth knowing

The GU10 bulb of up to 10 W is not included — you choose it yourself, which lets you pick the colour temperature and beam angle for the job. The fitting can be dimmed provided you fit a dimmable bulb and a suitable dimmer. The body is aluminium, and the IP20 rating makes it a fitting for dry interiors.
