The black Stucchi EVO 9500-2/B-ST8-E lighting track is a two-metre component for recessed installation. Its two side flanges allow ceiling panels to rest on the profile. With four conductors inside, it forms part of a lighting system rather than functioning as a standalone luminaire.
Dimensions that matter at the ceiling
This version is 2000 mm long. The manufacturer's drawing gives a profile height of 33 mm, a body width of 26.2 mm and an overall width of 37 mm including the flanges. Keep those width measurements distinct when comparing the track with the ceiling construction: the overall flange width is not the width of the body itself.
The recessed format accommodates a lighting line within the ceiling. A straight, elongated profile with a black visible finish suits modern and visually restrained layouts. Its use in a living room, dining room, kitchen or office depends on the complete system and chosen luminaires, however, rather than on the track's colour alone.
Construction and EVO compatibility
The outer extrusion is aluminium, the insulating inner extrusion is PVC and the conductors are copper. Stucchi specifies a rating of 15 A / 60 V DC for this track. These are component ratings within a low-voltage system, not permission to connect the track directly to a 230 V mains supply.
Connections and other components must be compatible with the EVO family and the recessed ST8-E version. Because the side flanges support panels, installation and loading need to follow the system instructions rather than being assessed from section length alone. Article 9500-2/B-ST8-E identifies the black 2 m track, not a complete kit of every component pictured in the connection diagram.
