NYC/RON 15/20 is a Rendl table lamp with a cylindrical apricot chintz shade set on a slim metal stem. The stem and the round base have a matt nickel finish. The lamp stands 40.5 cm tall and weighs 426 g, so it is easy to move from one spot to another.
Size and footprint
The shade measures 15 cm across and 20 cm high, and the base is 12.4 cm in diameter. That is the space the lamp takes up on a bedside table, chest of drawers or desk — the slim outline also fits a narrow side table next to a bed or armchair.
The cable is 150 cm long and the switch sits on the cable, so the lamp can be turned on without reaching under the shade. Compare the cable length with the distance from where the lamp will stand to the nearest socket.
Which bulb and how much light
The lamp has an E27 lampholder and runs on 230 V. No bulb is included: Rendl designed it for LED E27 lamps of up to 15 W and names the LED bulb with catalogue number G13026 as a matching source. You choose the colour and brightness yourself — 2700 K gives warm, slightly yellow light similar to a traditional bulb, while 4000 K gives neutral white. A bulb of around 800 lm is as bright as an old 60 W incandescent.
Where it fits and other versions
Rendl lists NYC/RON 15/20 among its table lamps for bedrooms, living rooms and children's rooms, and files it under classic lighting in its own catalogue. A drum shade on a straight stem is the shape of the traditional bedside lamp. The thin stem and small base stay in the background, so the colour of the shade is what catches the eye.
The same frame is made with polyester-cotton shades in white and black and Monaco fabric shades in grey and petrol blue, each with a chrome or matt nickel base. The apricot chintz shade is also available on a chrome base.
