The Laundrilla is a cylindrical rattan laundry basket, 40 cm across and 52 cm high, in a warm natural brown. It has a fitted lid woven in a spiral from the centre out and two recessed handles just below the top edge, finished with a dark binding.
How much room it takes
The base is round and occupies 40 cm of plan area, and the basket stands 52 cm high — roughly the height of a typical under-basin cabinet. Those are the figures to compare with a free corner in the bedroom or the space beside a bathroom cabinet, because a cylinder needs a full circle of clearance rather than a rectangle.
The basket itself weighs 2.05 kg. There is nothing to fold out or screw together — it arrives finished, in one piece.
The lid and the handles
The lid is solid and sits on the rim, so the contents stay covered — that is the difference between a basket you can leave in plain sight and an open bin that anyone walking in looks into.
The handles are cut into the weave on two sides and bound with a dark cord rather than glued on the outside, so they add nothing to the basket's outline and do not catch on a wall. The manufacturer states that the weave lets air through, which matters when textiles are stored in it.
Rattan and where it may stand
The basket is hand-woven from rattan in Indonesia. The weave is dense and regular, broken by two raised bands around the body, and the tone runs from light honey to a deeper brown — the manufacturer notes that this gives every piece a slightly different surface.
The product card gives the intended use as indoor, so the basket is not meant for a terrace or for rooms where water stands.
