Throw Blanket Gallery Direct Sterling Sherpa Grey 140x170cm

The Sterling Sherpa throw by Gallery Direct pairs a grey flannel face with a white, textured sherpa reverse. Made from polyester, it measures 140 × 170 cm. The two sides have visibly different surfaces, so turning back an edge changes both the colour contrast and the texture on display.

Check the coverage you need

Compare the 140 × 170 cm rectangle with the part of your sofa or bed you want to cover. For a bed, measure the mattress and consider how much fabric you would like to extend beyond its edges. This size does not automatically make a full bedspread for every bed; the furniture dimensions and the direction in which you place the throw determine its coverage.

You can display the grey face or fold back part of the throw to reveal the white reverse. The contrast comes from the two different surfaces rather than a printed design. When choosing coordinating textiles, consider which side will remain visible in your intended arrangement.

Edges and the sherpa reverse

The manufacturer's record specifies a knife-edge finish and a 10 cm stitched border. There are no fringes, leaving a simple outline around the throw. In this product's name, sherpa describes the reverse texture; it does not establish wool content. Polyester is the material specified for this exact grey version.

The grey-and-white combination provides a clear reference when comparing accessories for a living room or bedroom. The main photograph shows the throw folded, revealing the contrast between its faces. It does not show how the full 140 × 170 cm rectangle will sit on your own furniture, so use the measurements rather than the packaged view to judge fit.

Care requirements

Wash at no more than 30°C. The manufacturer instructs that the throw must not be bleached, tumble dried, ironed or dry cleaned. These restrictions are worth considering before purchase, particularly if you normally use a tumble dryer for household textiles. Follow the product-specific care instructions rather than assuming a general polyester washing routine.
