Tilo 3 is a pendant with three narrow cylindrical shades in black metal and black-painted ash. The grain of the wood stays visible across the upper part of each shade. Every shade hangs on its own cable, and the three heads sit at different heights.
How much room it needs below the ceiling
All three cables leave a single 22.6 cm ceiling bar, so the pendant uses one supply point rather than three. A single shade measures 6 cm across and 24.6 cm high; measured sideways the fitting spans 22 cm.
The cables are 200 cm long and that length sets the maximum drop. Above a table the lower edge of the shades usually sits 70-80 cm over the top - compare that distance with the height of your own room. The pendant weighs 2.302 kg.
Which bulbs you need to buy
The fitting takes three GU10 bulbs, each rated up to 15 W. Nordlux supplies no light source, so colour and brightness are yours to choose: 2700-3000 K gives warm, slightly yellow light, and about 800 lm per head matches the brightness of an old 60 W bulb.
The shades are opaque and narrow, so all the light falls straight down in a tight cone. Dimming is possible, but it needs a bulb described as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit - the fitting carries no control gear of its own.
Build and supply
The shades combine metal with FSC-certified ash; both parts are painted black, so the wood shows itself only through the grain. The cables are black textile-covered and 200 cm long. Nordlux states that the cable is not replaceable.
The pendant runs on 230 V and is class II, meaning it is double insulated and needs no protective earth connection. Nordlux intends it for indoor use - for a living room or bedroom, over a dark corner that needs a light of its own.
