TODI is a pendant built from three straight black rods crossing at a single point. A gold E27 lampholder sits at each end of every rod — six sources in all, pointing in different directions. The whole thing hangs from one black rod ending in a small ceiling cap.
Arms set to any angle
The rods turn at the central hub, so the angle of each arm is yours to set. The same fitting can therefore be wide and flat, like a star stretched over a table, or tight and tall with the arms near vertical — over a narrow worktop, or anywhere 60 cm of spread would be too much.
How the arms are set also decides where the light goes: spread horizontally they light the surface below, turned upwards they bounce light off the ceiling and give a diffuse glow instead of six distinct points.
Six bulbs on show
The holders are bare, with no shades — here the bulb is a design element rather than a hidden source. Which one you fit changes the lamp more than it would on a shaded fitting: decorative filament lamps in amber glass carry on the warm tone of the gold holders, while frosted globes give six even, quiet points.
Each of the six E27 holders takes a lamp of up to 40 W. No bulbs are supplied. The maker does not provide for a dimmer, so brightness depends entirely on the lamps chosen.
Dimensions and mounting
Spread out, the fitting sits within a 60 cm circle, and its greatest height including the suspension is 170 cm — the supporting rod is shortened during installation, so the fitting can be pulled up under a low ceiling or dropped low over a table.
The ceiling cap is only 12 cm across and 2.5 cm deep, so it covers a standard box and stays nearly invisible itself. The structure is metal throughout, in black and gold.
