Torre LED Outdoor Wall Light 30 W 6000 K 15° IP44 Black

Torre is a wall light shaped as a black aluminium cylinder mounted on a rectangular bracket that is screwed to the wall. Built-in CREE LEDs sit behind glass in the front face of the cylinder — the manufacturer gives a 2 × 15 LED layout with a total of 30 W. The fitting measures 252 × 200 × 175 mm, worth comparing with the free stretch of wall between a window, a door or a downpipe.

What light it gives

A flux of 2040 lm matches the brightness of more than two old 60 W bulbs, but it is concentrated in a narrow 15° beam. A beam like this does not spread light widely; it directs it into a tight cone — the chosen area is lit and the surroundings stay in half-light.

A colour temperature of 6000 K is cold, slightly bluish white light. Ra 80 is standard colour rendering: colours are recognisable but look less saturated than under Ra 90 sources. The fitting cannot be dimmed.

Power and installation

The LEDs and the driver are included, so the fitting connects directly to 230 V mains — there are no bulbs or separate power supply to buy. It is surface-mounted on the wall. It is a protection class I fitting that needs a protective earth conductor, so the connection should be left to an electrician.

Where it can work

The manufacturer intends Torre for both indoor and outdoor use. IP44 means protection against water splashing from any direction. The operating temperature range is -20 to +40 °C — in harder frost the manufacturer does not provide for operation.

The manufacturer rates the LEDs at 17,000 hours and 15,000 switching cycles. At four hours a day, 17,000 hours is more than 11 years; the cycle limit matters if the fitting will be switched on and off often. The manufacturer gives a 2-year warranty.
