Trio BARRIE 424210307 LED floor lamp with reading arm, matt nickel, 181 cm

The Trio BARRIE 424210307 combines a tall floor lamp with a separate reading arm. Its matt nickel metal structure carries a round main head and a smaller ring-shaped head on an articulated arm. Two integrated LED sources let you use light for the surrounding space separately from light directed towards a book.

Independent control of both lights

The main LED module is rated at 32 W and 3700 lm, while the reading light is rated at 6 W and 700 lm. There are no bulbs to buy separately: both light sources are built in. The inner part of the upper head swivels, allowing light to be directed upwards as well. Adjustment at two points on the reading arm lets you position the smaller head in relation to your seat.

Two touch points on the stem provide separate switching, brightness adjustment and light-colour selection. The manual specifies three colour-temperature settings: 2700, 3300 and 4000 K, from warm white to neutral white. A memory function recalls the last setting. You therefore do not have to use the same brightness or colour temperature for the main light and the reading light.

Check the reach as well as the base

BARRIE stands 181 cm high, with a 30 cm diameter upper head and a 28 cm diameter base. The manufacturer specifies a projection of 70 cm and a 180 cm supply cable. When planning a position beside an armchair, compare the arm's reach with the seat position as well as checking the floor space for the base. The cable should reach a socket without crossing a walking route.

A reading position in a living room or bedroom

Separate controls suit a place beside a living-room armchair or a reading spot in a bedroom or study. Use the reading head alone, or add the main light when you also want to illuminate the surroundings. The slender stem, simple circular forms and matt nickel finish suit restrained contemporary interiors. This arrangement brings two distinct lighting functions to one floor position rather than requiring two separate lamps.
