Trio FABIO LED bathroom wall light 283811232, matt black, 120 cm

Trio FABIO 283811232 is a long LED bathroom wall light with a matt black metal body. A pale illuminated strip sits between narrow dark end pieces, giving the fitting a distinctly rectangular outline. At 120 cm wide, this version is worth considering when a broad mirror calls for one continuous light rather than several shorter fittings.

Allow for width and projection

The body is 3.8 cm high, but that measurement does not describe how far it extends from the wall. Its projection is 7.9 cm. Check the two dimensions separately when planning a position above a mirror or mirrored cabinet: one describes the visible height of the bar, while the other describes the space it occupies in front of the wall. Compare the full 120 cm width with the available area and the position of the electrical connection before choosing the fitting.

Included LED source with warm white light

The integrated SMD LED source is supplied as part of the light, so there is no separate screw-in bulb to select. Trio specifies a source power of 20 W, a source luminous flux of 2500 lm and a colour temperature of 3000 K. This is warm white light. If the bathroom has other lights, compare their colour temperatures when a consistent appearance across the room is important.

This version is not dimmable and is not suitable for an external dimmer. Check the existing circuit controls when replacing another light: having an LED source does not mean that this fitting supports brightness adjustment.

Bathroom use and a restrained outline

IP44 protection covers splashing water from all directions. The manufacturer specifies indoor use, including bathrooms and laundry rooms; this is not an outdoor or garden-lighting declaration. FABIO requires wall mounting and a 230 V electrical connection. Its class I construction requires a protective earth connection.

The matt black finish, straight edges and absence of decorative arms support modern and minimalist interiors. Above a mirror, the long horizontal bar remains a visible part of the composition. Match its proportions to the mirror and washbasin area as a whole, rather than choosing on tap colour alone.
