Trio FABIO wall lamp 283817932

Trio FABIO 283817932 is an elongated bathroom wall light with a matt black metal construction. Its pale rectangular diffuser runs almost the full width of the fitting, framed by dark end caps. This is the 80 cm version with an integrated LED light source, rather than a fitting for a separate screw-in bulb.

Check the space above the mirror

The fitting measures 3.8 cm high and projects 7.9 cm from the wall. When planning a position above a mirror, compare those measurements with the mirror width, clearance to any cabinet and the location of the electrical connection. The long, low body introduces a horizontal line without projecting arms or individual lampshades.

Straight edges, a matt finish and the contrast between the black frame and pale diffuser suit modern and minimalist interiors. The finish can pick up the colour of black taps or a mirror frame. Its 80 cm width still needs to be checked against the actual free wall space rather than assuming that it fits every basin arrangement.

Included warm-white LED source

The built-in SMD LED source is rated at 12 W and is included with the light. Trio specifies a source luminous flux of 1400 lm and a warm-white colour temperature of 3000 K. If the fitting will operate alongside ceiling lighting, compare their colour temperatures before choosing the combination. This helps establish whether both lights provide the colour appearance you want when switched on together.

FABIO is not suitable for an external dimmer. It operates on 230 V, and the installation drawing shows a fixed electrical connection with a protective earth conductor. It is not a plug-in wall lamp with a trailing mains lead.

Bathroom and laundry-room placement

The manufacturer identifies bathrooms and laundry rooms as intended applications. The IP44 rating covers splashing water from all directions, but it does not permit unrestricted placement beside a bath or shower. The chosen position must meet the requirements for its installation zone. This is a wall-mounted indoor fitting; the IP rating should not be read as approval for outdoor terrace installation.
