Trio LYON 209100108 swing-arm wall lamp, matt brass finish and white shade

The Trio LYON 209100108 wall lamp pairs a matt brass-finish metal arm with a white fabric shade. Its two arm sections and swivel joints let you change the shade's position relative to the wall. A pull switch sits beneath the round wall plate, so the mounting position should leave that control within reach.

Allow space for the articulated arm

TRIO identifies living rooms and bedrooms as suitable settings, particularly the space beside a bed. With the arm extended, the projection is 69 cm. Compare that measurement with your headboard, bedside table and surrounding clearance before choosing the fixing point. Overall height is 32.5 cm, while the shade measures 25.5 cm across and 20.5 cm high. This is a projecting shaded lamp rather than a small spotlight that stays close to the wall.

The joints change the arm position; they do not adjust the mounting height of the whole fitting. Allow room for the shade to move as well as for the lamp in its resting position. Wall mounting keeps a lamp base off the bedside tabletop.

Choose the connection and bulb separately

FLEXconnect ready means the fitting is prepared for either a fixed electrical connection or operation with a plug lead. The supply lead is not included, so it must be purchased separately if you choose the plug-in arrangement. The local pull switch turns the lamp on and off; it is not a brightness control.

One E27 bulb rated up to 60 W is required and is not supplied. Brightness and light colour depend on the bulb you select, rather than the brass colour of the frame. A dimmable bulb alone does not provide dimming without a compatible control arrangement.

A traditional shade on a simple frame

The white shade narrows towards its top, contrasting with the straight arm sections. Its familiar shaded-lamp outline works with classic furnishings as well as modern interiors that retain traditional forms. Matt brass describes the finish on the metal structure, not a claim that the entire fitting is made from solid brass.
