V-TAC 46W LED Ceiling Luminaire Black VT-7921 3000K 4900lm

The V-TAC VT-7921 is a large decorative ceiling luminaire built from black angular frames that interlock into a cluster of geometric solids. LED panels sit inside the frames, so the geometry itself lights up rather than a single point. At 64.5 × 55 × 42 cm and 5.2 kg it is a design statement, not a plain ceiling fitting.

How much light it actually gives

The integrated LED module draws 46 W and delivers 4,900 lm in warm 3000 K. That is a lot for a decorative fitting — enough to serve as the main light source in a living room of roughly 25–30 m², not merely an accent. Efficacy is around 105 lm/W and the energy efficiency class is F.

Light quality per the manufacturer's declaration

Data from the EU energy-label registry EPREL (number 1547488, filed by V-TAC) allows a closer assessment of light quality than a standard datasheet:

• colour rendering index CRI 81 — the usual level for general lighting;
• red component R9 = 12 — low, so reds and skin tones will not look especially vivid; this is a fitting for lighting a space, not for judging colours;
• colour consistency SDCM 6 — with such a wide tolerance, two units of the same fitting may emit a noticeably different shade of white, worth bearing in mind if several are installed in one room;
• flicker PstLM 1.0 and stroboscopic effect SVM 0.9 — within requirements, but not at premium-fitting level;
• lumen maintenance factor 0.96 and survival factor 1.0.

Dimming — with a caveat

In the EPREL declaration the fitting is marked as dimmable only with specific dimmers, not with any device. In practice that means checking compatibility before buying a dimmer — connecting an arbitrary model can end in flicker, buzzing or no control at the low end.

The luminaire runs on standard 220–240 V AC, 50 Hz mains and is hard-wired via L/N terminals — there is no lamp socket; the light source is integrated and not replaceable.
