White LED outdoor wall light Mantra HOOD 8895, 12 W, 3000 K, IP65

Mantra HOOD 8895 is a white outdoor wall light with a flat head projecting from a rectangular wall base. Its aluminium body in RAL 9010 has rounded side ends and a restrained horizontal profile. The LED source is integrated: this is not a pole-mounted street light or a fitting that takes an ordinary replaceable bulb.

Check the space around the wall fitting

The manufacturer's dimensions are 17.5 cm wide, 8.6 cm high and 12.4 cm deep. Compare these measurements with the available space beside a door, on the facade or on a boundary wall before choosing a mounting point. Although the body is shallow in height, its head still projects outwards. Near a passage, allow for that depth as well as the width of the base.

HOOD is intended for outdoor wall mounting. Its IP65 rating means protection against dust ingress and water jets, not immersion. It can supplement lighting on a terrace, balcony, entrance or driveway where a suitable wall is available. The plain contours and lack of ornament suit modern and minimalist architectural settings.

Warm light from the included LED

The built-in source is rated at 12 W, with a colour temperature of 3000 K and a declared luminous flux of 1100 lm. Its colour rendering index is CRI 80. No separate bulb is required; the manufacturer does not provide for user replacement of the source. This version is not dimmable, so it should not be selected for an installation that requires brightness adjustment through a dimmer.

The flat head directs light towards the area below the fitting. When planning several wall lights, consider the mounting height and the area that needs illumination. A lumen figure alone does not establish the illuminance across an entire terrace or determine the number of fittings required.

A fixed electrical connection

The supply requirement is 220–240 V at 50/60 Hz. Protection class I requires an earth connection; the instructions show terminals for live, neutral and earth. Installation is carried out with the supply disconnected. Plan a wired connection at the wall rather than just a socket for a portable lamp.
