BALBO 20006PM-GD is a pendant light in the form of a horizontal gold bar of aluminium and metal, with a flexible milky-white LED light tube winding around it in several loose loops. The fitting is 120 cm wide and only 5 cm deep.
Dimensions and mounting
Compare the 120 cm width with the length of the table or worktop the light will hang over — the fitting is horizontal and lights along the whole bar. The manufacturer gives an overall height of 150 cm, measured from the ceiling to the lowest edge of the loops.
The bar hangs from two wires: one comes down from the round ceiling canopy that carries the power supply, the other from a separate small ceiling fixing. So the ceiling needs two fixing points spaced to match the wires, not a single hook.
The light and its colour
The integrated 45 W LED module delivers 3500 lm, enough to serve as the main lighting of a dining room or living room rather than just background mood light. The light source is included. The colour is chosen with an ordinary wall switch: successive switching moves it between 3000 K (warm white), 4000 K (neutral) and 6000 K (cool), and the lamp remembers the last setting.
According to the manufacturer, the LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional service. The fitting has energy efficiency class E.
Which interiors it suits
BALBO is a modern form: a straight gold line of bar broken up by the soft loops of the glowing tube. The manufacturer intends it for living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, studies and offices, as well as corridors. The BALBO series also includes wall lights, ceiling lights and table lamps, and this pendant is available in black too.
