Aldex Dione 4 Black Ceiling Light 1092PL_L1

Aldex Dione 4 Black is a ceiling light with a black metal frame and four matt white glass globes. Three shades measure 14 cm in diameter; the fourth measures 20 cm. Uneven spacing along the straight horizontal bar gives the fitting an asymmetric outline that remains visible when the lights are off.

The fitting is 117 cm wide, 58 cm high and 32 cm deep. Although classed as a ceiling light, it is not a flat disc against the ceiling: its rigid structure extends more than half a metre downwards. Measure that drop at the proposed position, particularly above a walkway or near an opening door. The width of the complete light matters separately from the size of its ceiling plate.

Its horizontal shape suits a living or dining area where a broad fitting is wanted. In a bedroom or entrance hall, also check clearance from nearby furniture. Black metal, white spheres and the absence of ornamental detailing support modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. The contrast between the two globe sizes is a defining part of the composition rather than an interchangeable decorative extra.

Three E14 lamps and one E27 lamp

Version 1092PL_L1 uses replaceable LED lamps with two different cap sizes. The three E14 positions require narrow bulbs no more than 10.2 cm high, rated at up to 10 W each. The E27 position takes a standard bulb rated at up to 15 W. Matching the cap alone is therefore not enough: bulb size also matters inside the smaller globes.

Choose colour temperature and brightness through the bulbs themselves. Satin-finish glass diffuses their light, while the four-light arrangement retains its three-small, one-large shade pattern. The fitting has an IP20 rating; its black finish does not determine the colour of the light it produces.
