Aldex Loop 1125B18 pastel pink metal and glass desk lamp

Aldex Loop Baby Pink 1125B18 is a table lamp combining a white spherical shade with a pink metal base and an upright panel with a curved outline. The panel provides a distinct backdrop to the glass globe. Rather than using an ornamental fabric shade, the design brings together a small number of clear geometric shapes. The pastel pink finish belongs to the metal parts; the shade itself is white.

Allow for the whole silhouette

The lamp measures 21 cm high, 20 cm wide and 16 cm deep. Its shade is 14 cm in diameter, which should not be confused with the overall width. Before placing it on a bedside table, desk or sideboard, compare all three dimensions with the available surface, including the space occupied by the panel behind the globe.

The low silhouette keeps the shade close to the supporting surface. Loop does not have the appearance of a conventional work lamp with a long arm and small reflector. That distinction matters when choosing a decorative supplementary light and planning how the base, globe and background panel will be seen together on a piece of furniture.

A single E14 bulb behind white glass

Aldex specifies one light source with an E14 fitting. The instructions show a separate bulb inside the removable shade, rather than a permanently integrated LED module in the globe. When selecting a bulb, follow the fitting's markings and take account of the space inside the shade.

The white glass diffuses light and conceals the bulb itself. Brightness and light colour still depend on the source fitted. A pink metal finish does not automatically mean warm-white illumination; choose the bulb's light characteristics separately from the decorative colour of the lamp.

Geometry in the room

The circular base, spherical shade and curved metal outline suit modern, modernist and minimalist interiors. Loop can provide an additional tabletop light in a living room, bedroom or study. It can also act as a decorative light on furniture in a dining room, hotel or restaurant, without implying that this small fitting replaces the room's main lighting.
