Doria 6007 is a ceiling fitting with three adjustable spot heads on a round ceiling plate. The plate and the head shrouds are finished in textured sage, while the spot barrels and the joints are brassed. Each head turns on its own.
How much ceiling it takes
The manufacturer gives the dimensions as maxima, because they depend on how the heads are set: up to 470 mm across and up to 210 mm high. Those 47 cm are the span with the spots swung outwards — turned inwards they take noticeably less room.
The fitting weighs 1.8 kg, and two screws and two wall plugs are in the box. The installation card draws a drill, a screwdriver, a hammer and a pencil — that is the whole tool list for hanging it.
Which bulbs will fit
There are three E27 sockets and no lamps in the box. The installation card sets two limits: 15 W per socket, and LED sources only — an incandescent bulb is crossed out on it.
The second limit is easy to miss: the bulb envelope may be at most 50 mm across and 105 mm long. A standard A60 pear is 60 mm across, so it will not go in — candle lamps, G45 golf balls and slim tubes will.
Control and wiring
The manufacturer permits use with a dimmer, but since no lamp is supplied, dimming depends on a bulb described as dimmable and on a dimmer in the circuit. The fitting runs on 230 V, and protection class I means the circuit must carry an earth conductor.
Where it works
Three separately aimed spots send light to different places from one point on the ceiling — which is what makes it useful in a hall, over a sofa in the living room and over a dining table; it also suits a bedroom, a hotel room or a restaurant interior. The finish is modernist: plain cylinders, brass and a muted, greyed green.
Doria 6007 belongs to a collection in which the same colour returns on table lamps, floor lamps and wall lights. The ceiling fitting itself also comes in black and in white, and in a two-light version.
