ARGON KALIMERA 4040 pendant light, matt opal glass and chrome, E27, 20 cm

ARGON KALIMERA 4040 is a single-light pendant with a matt opal glass shade and chrome-plated steel elements. Its rounded shade narrows towards the lower opening, while a black cable links the white glass to a small ceiling canopy. At 20 cm across, this is the smaller version of this shade shape within the KALIMERA family.

Allow for the whole pendant, not just the shade

The manufacturer specifies an overall height of 100 cm, including a cable up to 80 cm long. The shade itself is 18 cm high, with an 11 cm opening underneath. The canopy measures 8 cm in diameter and 3 cm in height. These separate measurements let you assess the glass body and the space occupied below the ceiling without confusing the overall drop with the shade height.

For a dining table, kitchen counter or living-room side table, compare the overall height with the space available above the surface. The shade should not interfere with using that surface or with sightlines between seated people. In a bedroom, also consider where the ceiling connection sits relative to the bed.

A replaceable E27 bulb, purchased separately

There is one E27 socket and no bulb is supplied. Choose a light source rated at no more than 15 W for the stated 230 V supply. The wattage limit does not specify the pendant's brightness. Light colour and output depend on the bulb you select, so consider these alongside room size and any other lighting already planned.

White glass with a chrome accent

The matt white shade, reflective chrome and slim black cable create a restrained modern composition. A single pendant can mark out a particular area in a home, restaurant or hotel. When comparing the range, check the article number: 4041 uses transparent glass with black metal elements, while the opal-glass 4042 is larger. Neither is the same white-and-chrome variant as 4040.
