Bollard Light NORLYS Asker 1338AL light grey LED 9.7 W 3000 K 85 cm with motion sensor

The Asker 1338AL is an 85 cm NORLYS bollard light shaped like an inverted L: a rectangular cast aluminium shaft ends in a head that projects 20 cm forward, with a clear, textured UV-stabilised polycarbonate diffuser underneath. The body is powder-coated light grey, RAL 9006, and a PIR motion sensor is built into the shaft.

How the motion sensor works

The ESYLUX MD-C 360I/6 mini sensor has a dusk switch and motion hold. It leaves the factory set to maximum range, a 1-minute on-time and a 10 lux dusk threshold, so the bollard only lights up after dark when someone walks past and switches off one minute after the last detected movement. Other sensor settings can be programmed to order. The luminaire is not dimmable; it works on/off.

How much light and what kind

The integrated Philips Fortimo DLM LED module produces 1080 lm, of which 585 lm leave the luminaire at 9.7 W, or 60.3 lm/W. That is enough light for a path, a driveway or an entrance rather than for a whole garden. The head sends diffused light downwards, and a ULOR of 0 % means none of it goes up into the sky. At 3000 K the light is warm white, CRI 80 renders colours properly, and SDCM3 keeps the tint consistent across several bollards placed in a row. The module is rated L70 for more than 50,000 hours and can only be replaced by a professional service.

Installation and durability

The bollard is fixed through four ø8 mm holes spaced 18 × 50 mm. The concrete anchor (1907ZX0009), ground anchor (1908GA0009), concrete foundation adapter (1909GA0010) and mounting adapters 3090GA0009 and 3081XX0009 are sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 4 × 4 mm² and allow looping the supply on to further luminaires. It is protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor. IP65 means it can stand outdoors without shelter, IK05 is moderate impact resistance, and the operating range is -20 to +45 °C. NORLYS intends it for gardens, private grounds, parks, terraces, driveways and along streets.
