Paul Neuhaus Icicle 8091-55 is a ceiling light with a steel finish. Branching elements of the body surround numerous drop-shaped glass pendants.
The decoration consists of 160 glass pendants. They hang below the branching structure and remain visible between the light sources. The transparent drops stand out against the metallic pattern of the body.
The fitting itself weighs 7.89 kg. Allow for this when comparing the load capacity of the chosen fixing and the ceiling substrate. Its weight and full decorative outline belong to one lamp that needs to be planned as a complete unit. The glass pendants form several visible layers; their transparency reveals elements further inside and distinguishes the arrangement from a continuous opaque shade.
Dimensions and installation space
The whole fitting is 50 cm high and occupies 50 × 50 cm of ceiling space.
Before installation, compare the whole outline with the intended location. Allow for the decorative elements even when the light is off. In a fitting with several sources, all light points form one composition, so plan space for the complete arrangement rather than for an individual bulb.
Choosing the light sources
The fitting has 9 G9 sockets, each rated for a bulb of up to 40 W. Bulbs are not included and must be selected separately. This limit applies to each socket and does not describe a constant power draw for the whole lamp. Actual consumption depends on the light sources you choose.
The selected bulbs determine light colour and brightness. A2700 K source gives warm, slightly yellowish white, while 4000 K gives neutral white. Compare the lumen ratings on the bulbs rather than judging brightness from watts alone. Replaceable sources let you change an individual bulb later while keeping the body of the fitting.
